Can you change light bulbs that have differents wattages?

In my bathroom there is a light set-up of four 40W bulbs above my mirror kind of like a vanity. I recently got a set of 60W Energy Conserving light-bulbs and was wondering if it’s possible to replace these 40W bulbs with the more efficient 60W ones. There is nothing covering these bulbs.
